High Music Festival will be August 14 and 15

Colorado’s Mile High Music Festival officially announces the 2010 event. The dates will be August 14 and 15 at The Fields at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. With Dave Matthews Band and Jack Johnson topping the bill of more than 40 bands during two days, 2010 promises to be the festival’s biggest and best year yet.

In addition to the headliners, 2010 performance highlights include Weezer, Steve Miller Band, My Morning Jacket, Slightly Stoopid, Atmosphere, Phoenix, Train, Nas & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Keane, Bassnectar, Cypress Hill, Z-Trip, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band, Drive-By Truckers, Railroad Earth, Ozomatli, and many others. The complete list of performers is below. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. each day.

A relative newcomer on the national festival scene, Mile High Music Festival has already become a summer tradition for Colorado residents and for music fans from coast to coast. The festival grounds, with its remarkable views of the Denver skyline and Rocky Mountain Front Range, is the perfect backdrop for this diverse, lively, and distinctly Colorado music and arts festival.

The Fields at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park is conveniently located just nine miles from downtown Denver, and only 1.8 miles from the I-70 and Quebec exit.

I predict that the festival will see a huge increase in attendance this time around. Line Up is much improved.

Prices are still pretty good.

All in all a good thing.

It is good to see that the promoters are learning every year. The first year was a little rough, and it is only getting better and better.

A great Colorado Tradition!

I will be there!

hey Gateway,

Is AEG going to give CC the % of sales to the Quality Community Foundation?

Jasmine, Commerce City said...

looks like they are targeting a little bit older crowd. A GOOD THING! I did not go last year, Tool was a bit on the harder side.

JJ and DMB are perfect mix.

I WAS SO HAPPY THAT YOU PUT THIS EXACT SAYING ABOVE THE MHMF AD THEY HAVE.

GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!!!!

Bobby, Brighton, CO said...

yes this is a commerce city event, despite the logo of the Denver skyline, but then again, what was the PR crew for the event going to do, put up a picture of suncor.

Still a great tax generator for the city of Denver.

It is nice for the city of commerce city to host this for Denver!

GREAT Lineup! I will be there for SHORE

FYI for your readers said...

Two-day passes will start at $150, but that price will rise to $175 after supplies are depleted. After those sell out, two-day passes will sell for $200. Those prices include ticketing fees and tax.

just Weezer alone is a reason to go. Great Great Great Lineup!

Renyolds R. said...

they could combine all the good acts on one day and save me a bunch of money.

Other acts will be announced in the coming months.

I was getting confused about all the comments about this being a great thing for Denver, so I did a little research:

I would like everyone to look at the package deals that are offered by way of the MHMF website.

All the hotels are in Denver.

Maybe you guys are right. This is a Great thing for Denver. What does Commerce City get out of this?

Tom Bradley, n. range, commerce city said...

YEA! take that Brighton, you can have your grocery stores and wind mill plants, WE GOT THE Mile High Music Festival and we are going to make a killing at Church's Chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Derrick Keys, Commerce City Resident, Brighton Tax Payer said...

if chuck morris was smart he would not give Commerce City a dime for the grant program.

Think of this: the amount of money that we got for the last Mile Music Festival for the grants was about 1/4 of what we gave our city manager for protection from the housing down turn!!!!!!

Keep your money AEG, Commerce city doesn't have the capability to spend it in a responsible way!

Commerce City gots a Churchs!

WOWOWOWOWOWOW!

To answer question about MHMF participating in charities, via their website.

Do any charities benefit from Mile High Music Festival?

Mile High Music Festival is proud to support the Quality Community Foundation. The Quality Community Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established by Commerce City in 2006. It grants money to organizations that provide nonprofit services to Commerce City residents. Mile High Music Festival also hosts the Conscious Alliance Food Drive to benefit the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Guests are encouraged to bring 10 non-perishable food items to the festival. Those who do receive a free, limited-edition art print.

Dusty,
I am confused, will there be a percentage of ticket sales going to the Commerce City Grant Program?

Dustin McIntyre, Gateway News said...

The charity program is built a bit differently this year, there is not a "per ticket" proceed but yes, there is a charity component that will benefit the Commerce City Quality Community for a Lifetime Foundation.

Great line up, better than last year, more like the first.
Better prices. My Gosh you can spend that for one entertainer for one show with a good seat.
Thanks, Music Festival
