«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 203 of 203To respond to Mr. Ford’s recollection of the embezzlement in ACSD14 and CLA, there are some important facts that Mr. Ford omitted. First of all, Katie Squair of CLA got caught because Tina Fresquez, who co-founded CLS with Ms. Squair turned her in, not because of any investigation that Angela ordered. (Tina is now the director of that school and her mother is President of the board ????) Darlene Pointer was the school district employee who stole close to $400,000 and did it over a period of 6 years, all while Dr. Lange was in charge and Angela Kreutzer was treasurer. Because CLA was a threat to the district, John Lange made sure that Katie’s picture was plastered all over the news and media, although her theft was much less than Ms. Pointer’s and over a much shorter period, $70,000 was the total for Ms. Squair. Ms. Pointer stole much more, over a much longer period, but the story of that theft got no publicity (because the district kept it hush hush) and her sentence was much more lenient – 10 years COMMUNITY corrections as opposed to Ms. Squair’s 3 years PRISON sentence, no comparison! Ms. Pointer is probably already out on probation.
I really wish you would have gotten that extra layer of help you claim you requested Mr. Ford, then maybe Dr. Lange wouldn’t have gotten away with the hand shake deal that cost this district 1.5 MILLION, an October count mistake that cost the district 1.2 MILLION, going over budget by over 2 MILLION, CSAP scores that are in the basement and have been, a new school that the voters were tricked into believing was going to be a community college for their use too but probably won’t be now….the list goes on and on. I do believe you were present for most if not all of these happenings. Thank God you are no longer on the board and we finally have 3 board members with some brain cells.
Give it up Mr. Ford, you only make a fool of yourself when you get up and speak. Take a break and find a hobby and stay home – PLEASE!
Adams 14 Board of Education announces criteria for Board Director applicants
COMMERCE CITY (November 3, 2008): The Adams 14 Board of Education at its regular meeting on Tuesday, October 28, outlined the application process for the open Director position. The Board will accept applications until November 21, and then Board members will review the applications prior to conducting public interviews on December 9.
Applicants must submit the following information:
1. A letter of interest including:
• Educational background;
• Knowledge of how a school district operates;
• Knowledge of board duties;
• Reason for interest in board position;
• Contribution to the board;
• Community involvement;
• Adams 14 involvement.
2. A minimum of two letters of support (maximum of five) – one from a business leader and one from a civic leader.
To be eligible to serve on the Adams 14 Board of Education, a community member must have been a registered voter for 12 consecutive months at a residence within the District boundaries.
