So is CC council all done getting rid of everyone?

Is it a skeleton enough crew now?

Okay to bring on a real manager?

What a JOKE?!

The CITY'S OFFICIAL organizational chart that was put in place is now COMPLETELY different!

aRE THEY GOING TO NOW UPDATE IT?

At least when Natale was around as the mayor we had plenty of people running the city and were laughing all the way to the bank. Now look at us.

VOTE FOR TRACEY SNYDER!

In order to be legally designated as a major party in Colorado, a party must have a detailed statement of organization and rules. This is a link to the Democratic Party's official statement. Part 4, article I, section B, paragraph 2 (on page 47 of the document) clearly indicates that a formal "call" must be issued according to specific requirements. This was NOT done by the Adams County Democratic Party. The party is in violation of its own rules, and thus the law. ALL candidates nominated at the AdCo Democrat assembly/convention on March 17 are ineligible for ballot access. Isn't it interesting how individuals who want to make new laws don't seem to understand the existing laws?

I Love it! Hope you are all watching this. Seriously think about voting in some (R)'s this time around!

Just a desperate attempt.

You really think if we did the entire thing over again the vote would be any different?

It would still be 80% to 20%

MAYBE even MORE!

It is not about the outcomes. It is about following the rules.

It needs to be fair.

It was all on the Up and Up.

Give it up and get behind the party winner AKA Moreno!

Unless you are not really a true Democrat!? hmmmm.

That is a promise!

I feel bad for Tracy. It seems that her long time friend, mayor Ford did her wrong by putting Dominick in as his mayor pro tem. You can't tell me he wasn't planning to help him get more face time. Ford isn't stupid, he stabbed Tracy in the back.

Estelle Remington said...

Hijack/Best

Anonymous, define what you mean by the North highjacking and what is best for the city? The city is made up of both North and South and that has been the problem for these past ten years in that one part of the city feels that it deserves more than the other but wants to pay less than half of the revenues to get it. You say that City Council will not let the North get away with, what, as we have nothing to get away with. No Parks, Rec Center, Police Station, Medical Center,no Tower Rd. so people can at least get to safety and work, no Boys and Girls Club, no soccer fields and soccer suite, etc. And, best for the city includes the entire city. In case, you did not know, we have the same numbers of adults and children living on both sides of 96th Ave. If, we continue as we have for these past ten years, we will fail to achieve our C3 Comprehensive Plan even in twenty years, time.

Equality

I do hold a Pastoral Degree, 2006, and I do pray for this city. In John 17:9-23, Jesus prayed: "That, they all may be one.....even as we are one." My prayer for CC over this Holy Week, is that "God would keep us from the evil one and that we as a city might all become one under the same system of taxation and GID services with equal value to each other both North and South and our city." "And, my God bless every member of city council and city staff and their families, this coming year."

I thought it was the exact opposite. I was told he did it to KEEP Moreno in Commerce City.

I guess we will never know.

GOP in CC said...

FORD HELPS DOMINICK?

WHY WOULD HE? FORD IS A REPUBLICAN! THAT IS A FACT! BOTH DOMINICK AND TRACEY (APPARENTLY) ARE NOW DEMOCRATS!

WE NEED TO GET BACK TO LOYALTY TO THE PARTIES, ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR! WE CAN NOT AFFORD THIS WAY OF LIFE ANY MORE!

Weeds In CC a ISSUE!

HA HA HA

I remember when Rene Bullock said that there would be no issue at all. It is on Tape!

King of Olive Street said...

Weeds in Commerce City a issue for Shea Homes. Told city to basically go to hell when they tried to give them a tom of fines for violations.

City can't even keep there own weeds under control.

But yet they want to fine everyone else!

This should have been addressed years ago!

Better late then never!

Rick, Belle Creek said...

WEEDS in CC?! It is and will always be an issue. At least they are finally doing something about it.

Next they need to over turn the pit bull ban!

dkeys said...

Why Change the Ordinance?
•Need more consistency between private property and City property
•Lots in and among partially completed developments receiving complaints
•Developers of large parcels not near existing development feel the standard creates a burden
•Current code presents enforcement challenges

Bottomline: NO SH*T

Anonymous said...

weed rule was put in place because it needed to be!

I think they should keep it the way it is now.

otherwise the rule has no teeth when it hits the court room.

Anonymous said...

The problem with Commerce City's weed ordinance is that it never had anything to do with weeds. It was an excuse for Code Enforcement to intimidate anyone who rocked the boat elsewhere in city politics. City council members, then and now, know this very well. If you wrote a negative letter to the editor of the old CC Beacon, you would get investigated by "Neighborhood Services." Now we can place anonymous postings on this blog and worry less about retribution!

Commerce City to have an executive session for the purpose of receiving legal advice concerning the Salazar litigation.

I guess it would be best to settle this out of court.

Don't think it would be good PR for city. They need to settle and brush it under the rug like they did with all the rest of the employee lawsuits.

I really dont think there are people waiting in line for this property that the historical society was the council to buy.

It is in Derby surrounded by MANY open and available properties.

Archer said...

I think Commerce City Council should buy the Denver Black Property and let the new city manager McOilBoom live in it.

King of Olive Street said...

when did Commerce City start feeling responsible to buy up old property that no one wants?

Why not just buy the old high school site. It is older then the place in derby?

Anonymous said...

I disagree, I think it would be a great thing to have a museum/welcome center in the Derby Area.

I am all for Council paying the $220,000 for it.

dkeys said...

There is already a Commerce City Welcome center in DERBY. It is called the DERBY Welcome Center.

Let the private sector sort this out.

Commerce City really needs to concentrate on the boys and girls club before jumping into "preserving" so called "landmarks"

re: black house in derby that cc historical wants the commerce city council.

the City spent a million dollars! yes a million dollars on the road intersection that is nothing more then decoration.

About Tracey Snyder- she is on the Board of Directors for the Historical Society, she called me and asked me about getting tickets to the event they are having at the end of the month. She seems like she is pretty active to me!

Also she went to my daughters school and brought coloring books and crayons to all the second graders. The kids loved them!

So those of you that are trying to say she somehow disappeared, sorry to disappoint you!

Dominick Moreno is no great thing for our City. His and his suppoters behavior at the assembly was nothing short of totally underhanded and embarrasing.

He doesnt meet his obligations to the people.

He doesnt join NLC boards that will benefit the people, just himself and his personal interests.

He didnt, and doesnt, support the people who are so against fracking in their backyard.

I could go on and on, but I will just say its too bad that Tracey withdrew from the State House election. And yes, she withdrew. Spoke to her myself about it. We were all with her and would have walked to get her the signatures. We respect her decision.

But we Hate that we are stuck with Ed Casso Junior! No class Moreno could have shown us he was a grown up at the assembly, but chose not to.

Core Comments said...

I guess Commerce City is not going to buy the Denver Black House?

JL Activist said...

It is comments like what Robert Romine said on Monday that makes this city really hard to live in!

Anonymous said...

At Monday night's City Council meeting, Chris Cramer said, "The Derby Master Plan calls for quite a bit more. The intersection improvements that you see at the Derby Diamond, it really calls for a continuation of that throughout Derby." Does this mean the city is going to pay another million dollars per intersection to have several of those so-called Derby Diamonds throughout Derby? That's a waste of money.

Also, I attended several of the meetings on the old dog track. Many were against housing on the property, yet the city, in their preliminary sketches they are taking with them to a conference to look for a developer, has housing in the northeast corner, exactly where the detention pond area is for runoff water in case of flooding. Did staff not listen to the citizens' input?
