Lives in Eagle Creek, When you accuse a neighbor of lying that shows what kind of character you have and it is a form of cyber bullying. The Green Belt has flooded at least twice since we live here and our water pump kept the basement from flooding. It's a matter of record that if we get an outburst the lower end of the green belt will flood within a very short period of time. That's what it was built for. At the last HOA meeting about twenty parents signed a petition to build a small park area for their children. As a grandparent, I am more than willing to help finance a small park for future generations. There are two open positions for the HOA Board, put your actions where your mouth is. I suspect that you are used to calling people names to try and control a situation

I agree with Anonymous. Mr. Benson was NOT taken off boards and commissions for a year. He is a good councilman.

Do we have an image problem with our illegal immigrants?

cc has illegals working for the city and refuse to use e-verify or cooperate with government investigations.

On a personal comment to Lives in Eagle Creek, your anger over my comments on the need for a park , which, other parents have long asked for goes much deeper and really has nothing to do with the name calling of my personal character but everything to do with you. People who put a spin on everything and accuse others of lying usually are the offenders themselves. My guess is that your anger has to do with something I said at another HOA meeting. Thank goodness, your days are numbered.

Why weren't the immigration laws enforced to prevent the Denver tragic murder?

Were some of these individuals Commerce City residents?

I know there is a Commerce City connection with the truck being found here.

I don't know how long Benson was removed from being the council rep on the different boards and commissions, but he was removed.
He obviously did something that the whole council found terrible.
So many of those types of things are not discussed in open meetings but in executive sessions with the lawyer's legal advise as the excuse.
Anyway, if only one or two thought he was a problem, okay, its personality, but the entire council?? I say he's trouble.

I heard that at least one of those arrested was from Aurora. It may be only that the car was found in CC.

Gateway, will you clarify what the situation was with Benson and the council and what happened with the boards and commissions issue?

Dustin, Gateway News said...

Yes I will clarify the situation with Jim Benson, I will need some time to get the story correct.

Dustin, you may want more that Benson as your source. He doesn't always answer questions as they were asked, you know, that lawyer technique.

Gateway News: How do we get English only printing of all city literature on the ballots?
We don't have that many non English speaking U.S. citizens or LEGAL residents living in our city we should NOT be spending our tax dollars on people that sneaked into the country.

Let's start fixing our image and spend our taxes on U. S. citizens.

Records show Adams County has spent $446,000 since 2005 to buy new cars for 12 people.

Check my math but that is about $516.20 per person.

Gateway News: Can you find out how much Commerce City pays per month for the any cars for city staff or whoever?

Maybe nothing, but I think it is at least worth looking into.

Hey Adams County. You are making attracting business even harder for city to accomplish! KNOCK IT OFF!

House cleaning in badly needed!

Dusty,

can you find out if the paving company that is under investigation by the district attorney is in the city limits of Comm. City.

They are listed as being in Henderson.

vickey, what if they are in the city limits?? No one has control over the business located in their city unless it is doing something illegal, chop shop, drug distribution, not paying sales taxes etc.
The city can't look into the contracts, or lack there of and do anything about it.
Please don't try and make this a CC thing!

I have to laugh about some of this.
It is so much the same as the South Adams County Water District.
Stuff was swept under the rug there for years.
Patio work for L Ford at his home by on the job employees. Family members given jobs at the district. Deals made to ok taps etc if work was given to other Ford family members for doing the excavating of the job.
We can no longer be known for the "deals" that you can get done for the right amount, or knowing the right people.
This legacy of the county really needs to be halted, for good.

To anonymous said: cc is a sanctuary city. You are right it is harboring you. You people are just racists. Why is it everyone has to be so one minded. You know if you just open your eyes you will see Mexicans, Asians, Africans are just about all over. Yes there are some bad people all over: What ethnicity was it that shot and killed the students at Columbine High School,White. What about Bailey Co White, What about the most recent one The one who shot up Arizona Congress person he was white. So lets not be so quick to judge all people.

Mr. Larry Ford's contributions to all of the good things that happened in Commerce City is without question. His dedication to the people of Commerce City will be talked about for generations.
